Position Summary
Amkor Technology Arizona is seeking a Furniture Coordinator & Space Planner to support the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of workplace environments for our greenfield semiconductor manufacturing campus. This role will be responsible for developing workplace standards, managing furniture and space planning activities, coordinating with design and construction teams, and ensuring office and support spaces are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business requirements.
The position will work closely with Facilities, Human Resources, procurement, IT, architects, consultants, contractors, and business stakeholders throughout the design, construction, occupancy, and operational phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain workplace space standards, furniture standards, and occupancy planning guidelines for office and support facilities.
• Lead furniture and workplace-related Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including scope development, vendor evaluations, bid reviews, and award recommendations.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to integrate workplace requirements into project designs.
• Review architectural drawings, space plans, furniture layouts, finish selections, and design packages during all project phases.
• Develop and maintain seating plans, occupancy plans, departmental space allocations, and move-in strategies.
• Manage furniture procurement activities, including budgeting, vendor coordination, delivery schedules, installation planning, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate furniture submittal reviews, mockups, finish selections, and furniture-related design changes.
• Track furniture inventories, asset utilization, and reuse opportunities to optimize costs and support sustainability initiatives.
• Support workplace and office design reviews during 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC design milestones.
• Coordinate furniture installation activities, punch-list closure, and final acceptance processes.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, HR, and Facilities teams to ensure workplace readiness for occupancy.
• Support employee move management, departmental relocations, and occupancy planning activities.
• Maintain accurate floor plans, furniture records, occupancy data, and project documentation.
• Provide regular reporting on project status, budgets, schedules, risks, and key milestones.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in space planning, furniture coordination, workplace planning, facilities projects, or corporate real estate.
• Experience supporting new construction, campus development, renovation, or large-scale workplace projects.
• Knowledge of furniture procurement processes, workplace standards, and occupancy planning.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, furniture plans, and construction documents.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar space-planning tools.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, technology campus, or greenfield construction projects.
• Familiarity with workplace strategy, move management, and furniture asset management systems.
• Experience managing furniture vendors, installation contractors, and workplace consultants.
• PMP, or related professional certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to conduct site walks and inspections in construction and operational environments.
• Ability to move throughout office and construction areas for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of materials, samples, or equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to travel between project locations as required.
Location:
This position will be based at the Peoria, AZ site, working from temporary offices during the construction phase and transitioning to the facility upon the start of factory operations.
