Accounts Receivable Coordinator (Hybrid)

Location: Mercerville, NJ (Hybrid: 1–2 days per week in-office)

Compensation: $40,000 per year ($19.23/hour)

Position Summary

OCA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for performing duties associated with billing and invoicing across all accounts serviced by OCA. Essential Job Functions
  • Payment Processing: Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  • Transaction Management: Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.

  • Billing & Reconciliation: Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits; reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Problem Solving: Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues; be resourceful in finding alternative solutions to complex problems.

  • Client Relations: Facilitate invoice payments by sending bill reminders and professionally assisting callers with department inquiries.

  • Reporting: Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status; prepare customer statements.

  • Account Setup: Perform new client review and account setup.

  • Compliance: Understand and comply with various state and federal regulations impacting the protection of personal data (HIPAA).

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related administrative/financial role preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred.

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and Word) and Zoho preferred.

  • Key Attributes:

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to work well independently in a high-energy, deadline-driven atmosphere.

    • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
