Job description

The Sr. Inventory & Control Analyst is responsible for tactical inventory monitoring, system data integrity, and on-site inventory control support across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. This hands-on role ensures system reporting aligns with physical inventory conditions, strengthens working capital visibility, and reinforces disciplined inventory processes. The position partners closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Finance teams.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8 years of experience in inventory control, materials management, accounting, or manufacturing analytics
  • ERP experience required (Oracle preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Strong understanding of MRP / planning parameters / inventory policy
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and drive process improvements
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of working capital and service impact
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and resolve discrepancies
  • Comfortable working in ERP systems and in a production/warehouse environment
  • Demonstrated process discipline and adherence to established procedures
  • Effective communicator able to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Self-directed with ability to own processes and drive improvements without direct authority


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and maintain weekly and monthly inventory health reporting (DOH, turns, aging, excess, obsolete)
  • Analyze inventory Trends and identify root causes of excess, shortage and imbalances.
  • Monitor slow-moving and at-risk inventory and escalate exposure
  • Develop and maintain inventory segmentation strategy (ABC, service level, stocking strategy)
  • Conduct routine floor validation of high-risk materials
  • Track month-over-month inventory movement trends, and provide performance updates
  • Audit item master data (lead times, safety stock, MOQ, order modifiers)
  • Identify discrepancies between ERP data and physical inventory
  • Partner with Planning to ensure MRP planning signals to actual material behavior
  • Support structured parameter corrections and review cadence
  • Oversee cycle count program effectiveness and analyze root causes of recurring variances
  • Identify systemic issues causing inventory inaccuracies and drive corrective actions
  • Partner with Distribution and Production to improve transactional accuracy and material control
  • Investigate recurring variances and adjustment trends
  • Assist with physical inventory preparation and reconciliation
  • Maintain excess and obsolete inventory tracking
  • Monitor mitigation progress and action ownership
  • Identify opportunities to reduce working capital and improve inventory efficiency
  • Support financial exposure reporting
  • Partner daily with Planning, Distribution and Production teams
  • Validate material availability and staging accuracy
  • Provide reliable inventory data to Planning and Finance
  • Develop and implement improvement around, policy, data accuracy, cycle count and material flow
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to improve inventory visibility and decision making
  • Support development of standard work and inventory control procedures


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Required on site every day in Spencer, MA
  • Must be punctual, able to follow attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.

Based on region, the expected salary range(s) for this in-person position is $69,802.29-$116,337.14.
