Job description

We are seeking an experienced Reporting & Observability Engineer with strong expertise in Grafana to design, develop, and support enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will transform operational, infrastructure, and application data into actionable insights for technology and business stakeholders within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Grafana.
Integrate Grafana with multiple enterprise data sources such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Splunk, SQL databases, and other monitoring platforms.
Build operational, infrastructure, application performance, and compliance dashboards.
Develop real-time and historical reporting solutions for IT Operations, SRE, and Platform Engineering teams.
Implement monitoring alerts, thresholds, SLA/SLO dashboards, and KPI tracking.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather reporting and visualization requirements.
Optimize dashboard usability, performance, scalability, and data accuracy.
Troubleshoot reporting issues, data inconsistencies, and dashboard performance bottlenecks.
Automate dashboard provisioning, updates, and reporting workflows where applicable.
Ensure proper access control, security standards, and role-based permissions for dashboards and reports.
Document dashboard architecture, data sources, reporting standards, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

6+ years of experience in Reporting, Monitoring, Observability, or Platform Engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in Grafana dashboard development and administration.
Experience integrating Grafana with Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Splunk, SQL databases, or equivalent data sources.
Strong understanding of observability concepts including metrics, logs, traces, and time-series data.
Proficiency in SQL, PromQL, and query optimization techniques.
Experience designing enterprise-grade visualization and reporting solutions.
Knowledge of monitoring frameworks, alerting mechanisms, and SLA/SLO reporting.
Working knowledge of Linux systems and enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience supporting IT Operations, SRE, Cloud, or Platform teams.
Understanding of security, authentication, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or container monitoring solutions.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
