Observability Engineer
Experience: 6+ years
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary
We are seeking an Observability Engineer with hands-on experience in monitoring, application performance management, and observability platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Dynatrace, Splunk or OpenSearch/ELK, distributed tracing, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities
• Manage and optimize the Dynatrace platform, including OneAgent, ActiveGate, alerting, anomaly detection, management zones, and dashboards.
• Implement and support observability solutions using Dynatrace, OpenSearch/ELK, and Splunk for application, infrastructure, and log monitoring.
• Perform incident analysis and troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), tune alerts, and resolve monitoring gaps to improve system reliability.
• Build dashboards, reports, and telemetry pipelines to provide operational visibility and performance insights across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Automate monitoring and integrate observability tools with CI/CD pipelines, ServiceNow, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and OpenTelemetry frameworks.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,000- $106,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
