Oberlin City Schools is seeking qualified applicants for an anticipated 0.25 FTE teaching position at Oberlin High School for the 2026 2027 school year. This position will serve as the instructor for College Credit Plus (CCP) U.S. History courses offered in partnership with Lorain County Community College (LCCC).
Course Assignment
Instruction Time: 11:43 a.m. - 12:33 p.m.
- Semester 1: HSTR 161 - United States History I
- Semester 2: HSTR 162 - United States History II
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all Ohio teaching licensure requirements appropriate for the assignment and must also meet LCCC College Credit Plus credentialing requirements, including:
- Master's degree in History or related discipline; or
- Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in History or the applicable subject area.
Selected candidates must complete and satisfy all Lorain County Community College approval procedures to become an authorized CCP instructor. LCCC works collaboratively with high school partners to ensure all instructors meet Ohio Department of Higher Education credentialing standards for College Credit Plus coursework.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching secondary social studies and/or college-level coursework
- Familiarity with College Credit Plus expectations and rigor
- Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills
