Locum Call Coverage For OB/GYN In Springfield, Ohio

We are seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN for locum call coverage in a hospital-based setting with a strong focus on Labor & Delivery. This opportunity supports an established OB/GYN team and provides consistent weekend coverage needs.

Hospital call coverage with 90% Labor & Delivery focus

Coverage needed for two providers, at least once per month

No additional OB/GYN coverage during locums dates

Total beds: 34 L&D/Postpartum/Triage | 205 hospital beds

Support from L&D nurses, midwives, and APPs

Onsite lab and ultrasound available

Nursery Level: Level II

EMR: EPIC

Board Certified OB/GYN – Required

Active Ohio license or willingness to obtain – Required

BLS & ACLS – Required

Active DEA – Required

Clean malpractice history – Required

NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days) required at presentation

Emergency temporary privileges may be available

Dates of coverage: March 13, 14, and 15, 2026

Call schedule: Two weekends per month (Friday–Sunday)

Call ratio: 1:4

APP coverage: 1 APP per 12-hour shift

Average scheduled patients per day: Varies

Obstetrics Required Procedures:

Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management

FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)

OB ultrasounds – interpretation and Level I screening

Labor & Delivery Required Procedures:

Routine vaginal deliveries

C-section decision-making and complicated deliveries

VBACs, breech, multiple births, abruptions

Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology Required Procedures:

Open and laparoscopic gynecologic procedures

Tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation

Ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA's

Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30–90 days
