What is an Office Administrative Specialist (OAS)?

OAS usually refers to the Old Age Security (OAS) pension, which is a monthly payment available to most Canadians aged 65 or older. It is designed to provide income support for seniors and is funded by the Government of Canada. Eligibility is based on age, legal status, and years of residency in Canada, not on employment history. The amount you receive may be adjusted based on your income and how long you've lived in Canada after the age of 18. You do not need to be retired to receive OAS, but your payments can be affected if your income exceeds certain thresholds.

Job description

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community.

The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles' third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Putting on an Olympic and Paralympic Games is a team sport. To build a Games unlike any the world has seen before, we need the best team in place-a team full of diverse perspectives, experiences and expertise. We are guided by the following set of values and behaviors-optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation and boldness-and look forward to hearing about how your past experiences align with them.

Senior Associate, OAS Enterprise Systems

Role Purpose

You will help build and run the enterprise systems that keep LA28 operating - acting as a hybrid business and technical analyst on the applications that power the organization. This role supports complex integrations and implementations from requirements through testing and go-live, bridging business needs and technical delivery. You will gain broad, cross-functional exposure across project teams, internal stakeholders, and third-party developers while supporting multiple solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Support project managers across the enterprise-systems portfolio, synthesizing minutes, capturing decisions, and coordinating inputs from stakeholders and third-party developers.

Elicit and document business requirements, implementation specifications, and use cases that bridge business needs and technical delivery.

Draft test plans and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, and track defects, enhancements, and changes through to resolution.

Support the Director and project managers in triaging and maintaining the portfolio backlog, including intake meetings and evaluating new requests.

Analyze business processes and recommend workflow improvements, process maps, and automations within the solutions ecosystem.

Collaborate with external providers and internal teams (Cyber Security, Architecture) on enhancement requests and risk-mitigation.

Triage system requests and provide day-to-day analytical support for end users, coordinating troubleshooting across the technology team and partners.

Required Competencies

Minimum of 4+ years as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise software solutions.

Proven track record supporting complex, end-to-end technical implementations and system integrations.

Experience writing technical documentation and requirements specifications, and drafting/executing structured deployment plans, including UAT and release management.

Experience working directly with third-party developers and external vendors; fluency with SharePoint and Smartsheet.

Experience with DevOps platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira) for defect tracking, backlog management, and sprint planning; familiarity with Agile and Waterfall frameworks.

Valued Experience

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline (preferred).

Experience supporting enterprise-grade ERP, HRIS, or Finance systems (e.g., Workday or procure-to-pay platforms).

Familiarity with work-management tools such as Asana, Monday, or MS Project.

A self-starting, collaborative, and adaptable approach.

What We Offer

Ownership of analysis and delivery on systems that keep a historic Games running.

Career-defining, cross-functional exposure across technology, vendors, and every part of LA28.

Transferable skills from delivering complex implementations at pace.

Teammates who value collaboration, pragmatism, and shared success.

What This Role Means for the Games

Reliable enterprise systems are the quiet infrastructure behind every LA28 decision and deliverable. Your analysis and testing help these systems land cleanly - keeping the organization running as it builds toward the Games.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.

The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000 - $98,000

The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role.
