Job description


Position Summary
OPEX Corporation is looking for full time Manual Milling Machine Operators to work in our 180,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, NJ. We are hiring for our first and second shift. The worker will be required to work both manual mill and manual lathe machines.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Must be familiar with machining - primarily Aluminum, Stainless Steel and soft steel
  • Must be efficient at using all machine shop measuring tools including micrometers, veneer calipers, and indicators
  • Must have set up experience and understand tooling
  • Must be able to read and understand dimensioned drawings and make parts to the print
  • Must be familiar with and be able to perform to a production shop level
  • Ability to do various set ups without supervisor
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement for the position is 2+ years of experience in both milling and lathes
  • We strongly prefer candidates with 5+ years of experience but will consider above
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of Proto-Trac or Acu-Rite MillPWR controls a plus
  • Candidate must be reliable and punctual
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends during busy season when required

Physical/Work Environments
  • Worker will be working in a production shop setting
  • Worker must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Worker must be able to stand throughout duration of their shift
