They are responsible for assessing business needs, planning migrations, and ensuring the security and scalability of cloud-based services like Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. O365 Architects work closely with stakeholders to develop strategies, oversee deployments, and provide technical guidance to optimize O365 environments. Their expertise ensures seamless integration, compliance, and ongoing support for cloud productivity tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an O365 architect?

Job description

O365 Integration Specialist, Senior
The Opportunity:
As the senior O365 Integration Specialist you will help the customer adopt governed standardized O365 architecture. You will support digital modernization and improve how the Army automates processes, generates insights, and makes data-driven decisions. You will design and build O365 solutions, conduct verification and validation testing, deliver updates and enhancements, and manage a ticketing system to resolve user issues efficiently and keep applications mission-ready.
As a customer-facing senior O365 Integration Specialist, you will serve as the Directorate's primary technical advisor for client-facing data modernization. Operating at the intersection of business analysis, data modeling, and low-code engineering, this role is responsible for migrating legacy, unstructured client workflows such as email-based trackers and disconnected spreadsheets into governed, standardized Microsoft 365 environments. You will design and build front-end entry systems including PowerApps and SharePoint that enforce data quality and then partner with Data Integration Engineers to facilitate seamless automated ingestion into the enterprise analytics platforms such as Palantir Foundry.
Through this work, you will enhance the U.S. Army's digital ecosystem by improving data quality, enabling AI-supported insights, and delivering reliable tools that empower mission partners with the information they need to act with confidence.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience with systems analysis, database design, or enterprise IT advising
  • 6+ years of experience performing SharePoint Site Collection Administration (SCA) at the directorate or command level, managing granular permissions, directory synchronization, and configuring complex SharePoint Lists and Document Libraries to serve as robust relational data backends
  • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade canvas and model-driven applications in PowerApps, and configuring automated workflows in Power Automate across various M365 integrations including Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Experience with relational database concepts
  • Experience establishing and auditing data input standards, such as strictly typed columns, data validation rules, and dropdowns instead of free text, to combat data drift
  • Ability to rapid-prototype functional applications with strong User Experience (UX) considerations to improve user adoption and enforce front-end data hygiene
  • Ability to discuss with GS-14 and 15 leadership and military branch chiefs, translate complex operational problems into structured technical requirements, and document business workflows
  • Ability to design, document, and defend Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), data schemas, and Data Dictionaries to ensure downstream integration readiness
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or technical field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum and Jira to manage work
  • Experience utilizing professional wireframing or mock-up tools such as Visio, Balsamiq, Figma, or Draw.io to design intuitive user interfaces prior to active configuration
  • Experience operating within DoW Service Component Command (ASCC) or major military headquarters
  • Experience formatting, structuring, and preparing SharePoint backends for automated ingestion into Palantir Foundry
  • Knowledge of military staff structures and planning cycles
  • Knowledge of enterprise ETL pipelines and data lake architectures
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Power Platform functional or architect Certifications such as PL-100 Power Platform App Maker, PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant, or PL-400 Power Platform Developer Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
