Position Summary
The Material Handler I is responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials within the facility. This includes operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading, and unloading trucks, receiving, and storing inventory, pulling stock orders, assisting with part cleaning, product, and kit assembly. and assembly. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area and supporting company safety and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Shipping/Receiving: Receive inbound inventory, place material into storage, pull inventory from storage to fill customer orders, and load material on trucks and trailers for outbound shipment.
  • Material Handling: Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes or other material handling equipment to move material to/from trucks or trailer and within the premises.
  • Parts Cleaning/Assembly: Cleaning parts using hand/pedestal grinders or other metal finishing equipment, utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes or other material handling equipment to move material.
  • Provide error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
  • Work under direct supervision.
  • Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
  • Mixing Paints.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Simple problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mix paints, preferred.
  • Ability to use a conventional & airless paint gun.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate forklift and cranes.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as: hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers and micrometers (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
