Staff Social Worker — Steuben County, NY

Steuben County, New York is seeking licensed social work and mental health professionals to join its Community Services team in mission-driven public service roles supporting individuals and families throughout the Southern Tier region.

These positions offer the opportunity to provide meaningful clinical and therapeutic services while working alongside collaborative interdisciplinary teams in a stable public-sector environment. Multiple full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with immediate hiring needs in Community Services. Candidates seeking long-term career growth, strong benefits, supervision toward advanced licensure, and meaningful community impact are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake, assessment, and screening activities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services

  • Develop treatment plans and support rehabilitation efforts

  • Coordinate services with schools, healthcare providers, probation, law enforcement, and community agencies

  • Respond to mental health crises and support client stabilization

Salary: $55,936–$69,294 DOQ and bargaining unit provisions
