Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Project Manager – Mechanical Engineering based in New York, NY. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring successful execution within budget, schedule, and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, consultants, architects, and construction teams, managing project deliverables, reviewing mechanical system designs, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing HVAC and mechanical building system projects, particularly within commercial, residential, and high-rise developments in New York City.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage mechanical engineering projects from design through construction completion
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system design coordination
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout all project phases
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Monitor project progress and resolve technical or operational issues proactively
• Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, energy codes, and industry regulations
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
• Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality project delivery

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of related experience in mechanical engineering/project management
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems
• Experience managing engineering projects for commercial, residential, and high-rise buildings
• Familiarity with NYC building codes, energy codes, and compliance standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is a plus
• Experience with new construction and high-rise buildings in NYC is preferred
