American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift position in a CV Thoracic Transplant ICU, with required experience managing complex cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, and LVAD.
Details- CV Thoracic Transplant ICU in an acute care hospital setting
- Cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and Cardiac/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery ICU patients
- 2:1 patient ratio
- Patients may be supported by devices including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30
- 13-week contract
- Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both must be AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD required
- NxStage experience preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Two professional references required
- Copy of Driver's License required
- Full SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Provides ICU-level nursing care to both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery patients
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required
