The University of Tennessee - Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is, seeking a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor. This position includes clinical care, the teaching of residents and medical students as well as other academic pursuits and research opportunities. Responsibilities for the position include providing inpatient Gastroenterology consultations, inpatient care and procedures at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, and outpatient Gastroenterology Clinics at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Outpatient Clinic and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include education and teaching, including didactic teaching and supervision of pediatric gastroenterology fellows, residents and students, research and clinical care. Research or scholarship opportunities include clinical, translational, or basic research, as well as in quality, health services and outcomes, epidemiology, implementation and dissemination research, or medical informatics.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: M.D. or equivalent degree and completion of a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship.
LICENSES: Must be Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical license.
