This position is in the department of Food and Animal Sciences.
Examples of DutiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform or assist with routine data verification and quality control, ensuring data integrity and consistency with prescribed study protocol.
- Perform and/or assist with routine data analysis and interpretation, as specifically assigned; may utilize specialized analytical equipment and/or instrumentation, or specified statistical data analysis programs and software.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of research equipment, instrumentation, and/or facilities, as specifically instructed.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- May lead, train, guide, and/or allocate work to student employees, research assistants, and/or other research support personnel on specific aspects of research procedure, as appropriate to the role.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical QualificationsMinimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- PhD degree in Food Science with an emphasis in Food/Nutritional Biochemistry Lab experience
