Job description

State Veterans Home Registered Nurse

This position is located at the State Veterans Home in Jackson, MS. First-level Professional Registered Nurse accountable for serving as a member of the medical treatment team. Accountable for reviewing medical records, observing the provision of medical care provided to patients by facility staff, coordinating assessments from other disciplines, incident reporting and investigation, and discharge planning in a patient care setting. May assign the work of LPNs, nurse assistants, and other technical personnel. May provide transport to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
