Job description

We are hiring for: Registered Nurse (IDD RN) - Regional Type: Regular If you are a positive and personable individual looking for a satisfying and fun opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health, and substance use challenges, join our team at RHA Health Services! Performs Registered Nurse (RN) duties for a specific unit, and oversees nurses in additional units. The Regional Nurse assists in monitoring performance, providing direction, training, and leadership to the nurses in the units within their region. The Regional Nurse assists the Vice President of Nursing in interpreting company policies and regulations to all nursing personnel and assures compliance as well as analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to improve quality of care and to best utilize staff and abilities. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with disabilities. Location: Applicants must reside out of either the Knoxville or Chattanooga, TN regions. Travel: Required up to 50% Current regional coverage includes Knoxville and travel to Chattanooga every other week, supporting Supported Living services. Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $72,000.00 Incentives: No sign-on bonus offered. No relocation packaged offered. Schedule: Standard hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (may vary based on business needs) Assists professional staff in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported. Performs medications storage assessment. Removes expired medications from circulation and access. Takes historical information and records persons' supported vital signs. Observes personsupported mannerisms and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment as needed. Advocates for individuals with IDD Participates as a part of the interdisciplinary team for the people we support Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or other healthcare settings. Previous administrative, supervisory, case management, or clinical oversight experience preferred. This role focuses on nursing oversight and clinical support, not day-to-day bed side operations. Experience with quality assurance, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, survey readiness, or accreditation processes preferred. Experience providing education and training to healthcare staff is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement principles. Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings professionally. Ability to analyze clinical data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to travel regularly to assigned service locations.
