Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Graduate of an accredited Scrub Technologist school/program or 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).This position is subject to a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen. A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant. Any criminal history will be evaluated in relationship to job responsibilities and business necessity. The information obtained in these reports will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.

Responsibilities:
Ensures that the room has been prepared for the upcoming cases, with appropriate equipment available and ready for use.
Ensures that the instruments are cleaned arranged and transported to the soiled utility room according to department policy.
Assists with instrument reprocessing tasks when assigned cases are completed and time permits; Ensures that the operating rooms are case-ready for the following day's cases.
Admits and discharges patients, ensure front desk logs and phone books are maintained, and manage infant security system alarms as needed.
Sets up rooms in preparation for new admissions, ensure ante-rooms and patient rooms are stocked and complete other duties as assigned.
Participates in continuing education by completing the required staff development hours annually and in professional/institutional advancement of self and co-workers.
May perform other duties as assigned.
