Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities : Provide and coordinate health care services to patients and their families Promote maintenance of health, prevention of illness and stability Provide care during acute and chronic phases of illness Guide and counsel individuals and families Referral patients to other health care providers as appropriate Record and update patient EMR in accordance with HIPAA and practice standards and procedures Nurse Practitioner Qualifications: Current, certified NYS Nurse Practitioner license Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a family practice or Urgent Care setting is desired (not required) Previous experience working with Medent (EMR) is a plus Excellent working knowledge of chronic disease states and possess critical thinking skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills .
