Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and surgical center staff in delivering exceptional patient care in our Ambulatory Surgical Center. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.  Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment focused on high-quality care, patient safety, and staff development.  This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while advancing your career in healthcare management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Oversee patient care delivery ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and Quad A standards
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration across all departments
  • Mange staffing schedules, resource allocation, inventory management, and workflow to maintain efficient operations
  • Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness using EMR
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives focusing on infection control, acute pain management, and other specialized areas 
  • Facilitate patient assessments, discharge planning, and case management processes to support comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs

Qualifications

  • Valid nursing license with current registration; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred
  • Extensive experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level 1 Trauma Centers; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine highly desirable
  • Proven leadership skills with supervising experience managing nursing teams in complex healthcare environments
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and medical documentation standards
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology; ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in acute care settings while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality of care
