Opportunity:

IR Tech - IR Tech

Job Details:

• Must be able to scrub and circulate basic, intermediate, and advance IR procedures
• Work with GE and Siemens imaging equipment
• NIR experience preferred but not required
• Department is staffed 24/7
• Handle approximately 40-50 patients per day on average
• Work with all adult patients, no pediatrics
• Perform general IR procedures including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line/PICCs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filter, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, thoras/paras
• Support CT room procedures including cryos, CT biopsies, drains (not performed at night)
• AAA intervention experience preferred
• Neuro IR experience required for manager approval if not available
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS, WI License
• Must be comfortable scrubbing and panning simultaneously
• Experience with general IR cases required
• Preference for comfort with charging/coding for procedures but not required
• Work with equipment including Siemens and GE equipment, MedRad injector, IVUS, Ultrasound, Laser, Bovie
• EMR system: EPIC
• Call schedule: Weekday call Monday-Thursday (1 call shift per week, EOS until following day at 0700), Weekend call Friday-Sunday (once every 5th weekend, EOS Friday until Monday at 0700)
• 30-minute response time for call
• General IR shift times: 0700-1530, Neuro shift times: 0730-1600
• 1-2 week orientation with preceptor
• Scrubs provided
• Free parking in structure with badge access

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet designation. The facility operates as a Comprehensive Stroke Center with 933 beds and maintains a 24/7 interventional radiology department. The IR department includes 5 procedure rooms with support from two coordinators, lead techs, and specialist staff. The facility provides full respiratory therapy, hospitalist services, and CNA/transport services around the clock.
