Tresillian is pleased to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced Child and Family Health Clinical Nurse Specialist L2 to join the Tresillian team in Broken Hill. 

This position will be involved in the provision of quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-3 years of age within a Tresillian service. This will be achieved by working within the Tresillian Model of Care, Practice Principles and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health (CFH). The RN and/or RM CFH clinician will use a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of information, education, resources, guidance, and role modelling safe responsive care. The CFH clinician, utilising evidenced based screening and assessment tools, uses their family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities to negotiate individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet the goals of the family.

Selection Criteria

   Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

   Postgraduate /post registration qualification in Child and Family Health (CFH) or working toward with evidence (provide transcript) of course progress, with at least two subjects completed in CFH Graduate certificate.

       Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence-based practice.

       Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social, and emotional needs of children, and their families.

       Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.

       Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and the principles that underpin NSW SafeStart, within a multidisciplinary team environment.

       Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy.

       Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
