Job description

Start anywhere between 5am and 9am, your choice. Get off early, sleep in, or work around daycare โ€” as long as the parts are right.

You'll set up and run your own jobs on Haas mills, edit at the control when needed, and inspect your work to print. Lots run 1 to 100 pieces, a mix of repeat jobs and new parts โ€” mild steel mostly, with aluminum, stainless, and some tool steel.

**What you'll do**

- Set up vises, fixtures, and tools; set work and tool offsets

- Prove out programs; edit feeds, speeds, and paths at the control

- Write short programs at the control for simple parts

- Inspect first piece and in-process with mics, calipers, gauges; sign off to print

- Flag tooling and program problems before they become scrap

**What we're looking for**

- Reliable, on time, honest about what you can't do yet

- Must be able to stand for a full shift, lift up to 50 lb, and use hoists and cranes for heavier

Where you land in $23โ€“$32:

- Lower end: some CNC mill experience, reads a print, holds tolerance

- Middle: sets up unassisted, inspects to print with mics and calipers, reads GD&T

- Top: all of that plus 5+ years and fluent G-code editing at the control

At the interview you'll set up and indicate a part on a Haas, navigate the control, and inspect a part to print.

**No experience? We'll train you**

Mechanically inclined, willing to learn, shows up every day. Show us at the interview that you can measure, follow a print, and take direction. Starting pay set at the interview, with raises as you earn them.

**Pay and benefits**

- $23โ€“$32/hr, placed by the hands-on interview

- 1st shift, 40 hrs; start anywhere 5amโ€“9am

- Overtime voluntary, usually available, 1.5x over 40

- Health and dental insurance

- Vacation grows with tenure; paid holidays after probation; unpaid personal days (schedule ahead)

No 401(k).

**About the shop**
