Role Description This full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role is based in Menominee, MI. The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, performing machine setups, monitoring machining operations, and making adjustments to maintain accuracy. The role also involves inspecting finished parts for quality, documenting measurements, and collaborating with supervisors and maintenance staff to address any equipment or production issues. The CNC Machinist is expected to follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the machining department.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Machine Operation and Machinery, including setup, safe operation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong Machining and Milling skills, with experience working on CNC equipment and reading technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment, preferably as a CNC or manual machinist.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and tolerances with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is beneficial.
