    • Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO).  ALL RTO MUST BE FINALIZED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION

    • No new RTO after submission. NO ADDITIONAL RTO OR SCHEDULE REQUESTS CAN BE REQUESTED POST SUBMISSION, POST OFFER OR POST START/ONSITE

    • No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment. 

  2. License Information: 

    • MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). 

    • IL: License in hand required at time of submittal. 

    • Compact: Must match permanent residence—otherwise submit for update + confirm ETA. 

  3. Radius/Local Rules: 

    • No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius.  

    • No local travelers allowed, except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants. 

  4. Tenure Policy / Returning Staff and Tenure Policy (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles):  

    • 18 months with a 3-month break in service required. 

    • Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. 

  5. Floating: 

    • All travelers will float within service line. 

  6. Contract Details: 

    • Confirm shift in submittal (e.g., 3x12, 4x12, etc.). 

    • Please note, contract length is firm. 

  7. Booking Rules: 

    • BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor's discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity. 

Compliance Deadlines/Requirements

  1. Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date. 

  1. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions 

  1. Certifications: 

    • For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required 

      • All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. 

  2. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing 

  1. Modules: 

    • Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr.

    • Modules are completed pre-start, they are required for RNs and LVS and do not differ per specialty 

    • Modules are completed through WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report 

    • Modules should be started within 1 week of signed contract, and MUST be completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid a delay in starting
