End Time: 5:00 PM
 
Consults with internal and external stakeholders to develop technical requirements for numerical control and manufacturing processes. Identifies equipment and approaches, ensures accommodation of numerical control programming and resolves manufacturing or production process concerns. Manages implementation of new and revised computing applications for design, machining or inspection systems. Trains and mentors others. Works under consultative direction.
The Client Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Senior Numerical Control Programmers to support multiple programs in Hazelwood, MO.
Selected candidates will provide numerical control, machining and programming technical expertise. They will create, verify and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled multi-axis machines required to manufacture aerospace components.
 
The Ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and be comfortable handling a product line from Engineering concept, NC programming, troubleshooting and final execution on the shop floor.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provides numerical control, machining, and programming technical experience to the Auburn Fabrication Team
· Plans, creates, verifies, and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled machinery (primarily metals machining)
Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings
- 12 + years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 10+ years of work-related experience with a Masters Degree OR work-related experience with a PhD
*Degree(s) must be in a related field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology
