Job Summary
Performs the proper sanitizing and cleaning of processing and production equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sanitizes processing equipment daily, using approved methods and chemicals.
• Follows all standard operating procedures for sanitizing, while performing each procedure in an
accurate, consistent, and timely manner.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists.
• Verifies the concentrations and effectiveness of sanitation.
• Performs chemical testing to determine detergent concentrations; documents the concentrations.
• Always Uses the proper protective equipment.
• Must be trained on chemical handling and use.
• Performs cleaning task to clean batching tank. This includes entering the batching tank to clean it
when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Requires ability to read and write.
• Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate team communication.
• Perform assigned tasks.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• This position is located in a cosmetic manufacturing plant.
• May be exposed to temperature extremes.
• Exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment, requires wearing hearing
protection.
• Requires wearing provided hairnet/beard net.
• Requires flexibility with schedule, including break times and working extended hours when
needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting: Ground to Waist Lift (Occasionally) up to 55lbs (cases)
Carrying: Front Carry (Rarely) 25-foot carry up to 55lbs
Pushing/Pulling: Dynamic pushing/pulling (chemical barrels) on a cart for up to 50 feet
Dynamic Pushing and Pulling (Occasionally) scrubbing.
Ambulatory Activity: Standing/Walking (Continuously) standing on variable surfaces throughout the
entire shift Climbing (Occasionally) in and around equipment.
Stairs (Occasionally) step up/down from 15' platform/step heights.
Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling: (Occasionally) to as low as a ground level while cleaning
Repetitive use of hand/grasping: (Occasionally) light to forceful manipulating/grasping of product
Reaching: (Frequently on Depal) up to 32 inches in front of the body at the floor to 60" heights while
reaching for the product
