Job description

OverviewThe Nutrition Services Liaison (NSL) is a member of the Food & Nutrition Services team responsible for performing various integral activities and assisting the inpatient clinical teams in meeting the patient's meal service needs. The NSL is the primary connection between assigned inpatient units and the Food & Nutrition Services department. The NSL assists with the overall coordination of patient meal service, performs meal satisfaction rounding and promotes and maintains a high-level customer service experience for all patients and visitors on assigned units.Qualifications

Certifications: ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days , Work Experience: Customer service

ResponsibilitiesAnswers patient inquiries about menus, diet restrictions, and meal preparation.Acts as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and escalating issues as needed.Communicates effectively with staff and patients, maintaining open communication and resolving customer service issues.Maintains floor nourishment center food inventory, delivers nutrition supplies to units, and performs other duties as assigned.Assists patients with meal ordering process utilizing nutrition software.Assists with delivery and collection of patient meal trays.Documents meal consumption appropriately.Performs meal satisfaction rounds with patients.Utilizes tray assessments to ensure accuracy, presentation and production standards are met.Assists in the development of coordinating interventions and corrective actions to meet the needs of the patients and families.Acts as the direct link between clinical units and the Food & Nutrition department.Deliver patient meal trays. Salary RangeThe compensation range for this position is $18.33per hour - $29.69per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
