Job description

What We're Looking For
Novant Health is seeking a Tele-psychiatrist to support a system-wide 24/7 telepsychiatry program serving emergency department and medical/surgical floor patients across the hospital system in North and South Carolina.
Opportunity Highlights:
  • Fully remote positionwith no onsite clinical requirement and a 7-on/7-off schedule
  • The role follows a standard 12-hour shift, with a set start time negotiable, and supports a therapy-first model that includes timely psychiatric consultation, evaluation, documentation, and collaboration with hospital teams and advanced practice providers in a virtual care model

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Must hold a NC and SC Medical License
  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
  • Current DEA license required

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • 7on/7off
  • 12p-12a, flexible
  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP) supervision is required
  • Patient Population: all ages
  • On-Call Duty
