Job description

What We Offer:

This position may be eligible for sign on bonus and relocation. 

Location: Ballantyne Medical Center, 10905 Providence Road W Charlotte, NC 28277. National 

Shift: FT Days 7a-7p 

As a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical Unit at Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse population of adult patients while making a meaningful impact on their recovery. Your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and collaboration will be essential in providing safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This 40-bed Medical Surgical Unit cares for patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, including post-cardiac catheterization recovery, stroke, COPD, kidney disease, chest wall (CWall) conditions, and other complex medical diagnoses. You'll perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate multidisciplinary care, educate patients and families, and closely monitor for changes in condition to promote the best possible outcomes.

Whether you're caring for patients recovering from a procedure or managing complex medical needs, you'll have the opportunity to build strong clinical skills while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care every day.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
What You'll Do:

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
