Job description

Position: Producer and Studio Classroom/Live Studio Manager

Location: Florissant, MO

Reports to: Senior Producer

Job Summary:


The Producer / Live Studio Manager is responsible for managing and producing Studio Classroom and lecture-format content, including DE/GST (Distance Education/Graduate School of Theology) productions. This role oversees DE/GST operators and leads the day-to-day execution of studio classroom and lecture capture production, including production of lecture series such as the Lectio Bible Studies and other professor-driven content. The position supervises production specialists and ensures consistent and high-quality production standards across all Studio Classroom and lecture projects.

This role manages incoming production requests and aligns them with the Content teamโ€™s intake process and overall content strategy. The Producer / Live Studio Manager coordinates and schedules production personnel, including staff operators, contractors, interns, and student workers, while also calling upon AV/Broadcast Engineers to support technical needs. Additionally, the role is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of studio classroom and lecture capture equipment, including cameras, lenses, audio systems, switching and recording infrastructure, and lighting, ensuring all systems remain current and fully operational.


Responsibilities of the Producer and Production Manager

  • Manage and deliver DE/GST and Lecture Content.
  • Produce Bible Studio Content, and lecture/classroom professor-driven content.
  • Schedule and supervise operators and recording specialists.
  • Manage incoming production requests and funnel those through the overall content strategy and intake strategy of the Content team.
  • Will need to schedule all GST productions and personnel. General team availability (i.e. logging all vacation/personal days), accounting for the availability of spaces, equipment and personnel, as well as communicating and taking care of talent.
  • This can extend to travel, to the location, schedule, production/team needs
  • Possible craft service accommodations for on-location and in-house shoots
  • Specific production needs for Augustine Institute Events (e.g., audio/video recording, etc.)
  • Collaborate with events on record opportunities, connect events with the content strategy.
  • The Producer will guard production quality.
  • The Producer/Production Manager will be responsible for delivering on time. And will also be responsible for operating the productions on budget.
  • Participates and coordinates meetings, for very clear, and regular communication with Studios and the Content team.
  • Responsible for ensuring all production spaces and equipment are operational.
  • Lead and provide professional development for the team you manage.
  • The Producer will be forward-thinking and innovative for new production opportunities.
  • Provide Support and coaching for the Talent that will be on camera.

Additional Role, Responsibilities


  • Serve as a primary contact/liaison between Studios and other parts of the organization
  • Support Post Production if needed to draw finished content across the finish line.
    • Make certain all edits and revisions are up to date and available for review.
  • Support the scripting process if needed for the GST/Reflection, Podcast productions, including tasks such as:
    • Documenting thorough notes at script meetings with talent or project owners
    • Assisting with script breakdowns
  • Teleprompter Operation
    • Input and format all up to date script content into the prompter
    • Operate teleprompter on-set, and help facilitate effective talent use of teleprompter; input live edits into teleprompter for talent/director on set
  • General Office Management โ€“ order and re-stock supplies for office
