Full-Time Float Adult Hospitalist - Western CT and Eastern NY (70 miles from New York City)
Nuvance Health, now part of Northwell Heath, is seeking a full-time Float Adult Hospitalist for its 7-hospital healthcare system in Connecticut and New York. We are located about 70 miles northeast of New York City. Position is a float schedule with variability between days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. We offer a competitive compensation package, including base salary plus quality incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues and includes paid time off, excellent benefits (health, vision, and dental) including 401k match.
 
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. This is a great opportunity to have a position with schedule flexibility and a variety of locations.

Job Summary:
Provide medical care to inpatients, assist them to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses. This position will float between our New York Hospitals or our Connecticut Hospitals and will work shifts on days, nights or evenings. The required shifts also have the possibility of working with our medical residents depending upon the location. The provider will work with the administrative team to obtain their schedule based on greatest area of need within the network.
 
Job Requirements:
· MD or DO with CT and/or NY State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
· Preferred: Prior experience as a staff physician or Hospitalist but new Residents are encouraged to apply
 
· Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
· Board Certified or Board Eligible
· Willingness to work flexible and variable 12 hour shifts for a total of about 15 shifts per month.
