Locations: Andover, Lawrence & Haverhill
Schedule: 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM Sunday, Monday & Tuesday 9 PM - 2 AM
Position Type: Part-Time (Night Shift)
Pay rate: $20.50 hourly

About Signal of New England

Signal of New England is seeking dependable, professional security officers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of reliability, accountability, and customer service. This is not a stationary security position.

This position is best suited for individuals who enjoy working independently, are comfortable driving for extended periods, can stay alert throughout overnight shifts, and consistently follow procedures without direct supervision.

Position Overview

As a Northshore Mobile Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled and random patrols of multiple commercial and residential properties throughout your assigned route in Andover, Lawrence & Haverhill. You will drive a company patrol vehicle during your shift, complete detailed reports, communicate with supervisors and clients, and ensure each property receives thorough and professional security services.

This is an overnight position requiring consistent attendance, excellent time management, and the ability to remain focused and productive during long shifts.

Job Description:
  • Drive a designated patrol route throughout the Northshore area during the entire shift.
  • Conduct interior and exterior security patrols of multiple client properties.
  • Lock and unlock buildings according to client schedules.
  • Check doors, gates, windows, lighting, and other security-sensitive areas.
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and emergency situations.
  • Observe, investigate, and accurately document unusual activity.
  • Complete clear, detailed, and timely incident reports using company reporting software before the end of each shift.
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisors, dispatch, and clients.
  • Follow all company policies, post orders, and safety procedures.
  • Represent Signal professionally through appearance, communication, and customer service.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • At least 21 years of age (preferred if required for company vehicle insurance).
  • Comfortable driving throughout an entire shift in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a background check and any other required pre-employment screening.
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and perform routine patrols at multiple locations.
  • Ability to use a smartphone or tablet to complete reports and communicate throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous security, patrol, law enforcement, military, corrections, or mobile patrol experience.
  • Experience working overnight or rotating shifts.
  • Experience working independently in a field-based position.
  • Familiarity with report writing and incident documentation.
