Job description
Northgate Resorts owns and manages the most awarded Camp-Resort portfolio in the nation. Our passion is creating family camping memories for our guests – memories that will last a lifetime! The Bartending Staff is responsible for greeting customers, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and preparing and serving beverages and food. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Food Service Manager.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
The Bartending Staff is responsible for greeting customers, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and preparing and serving beverages and food. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Food Service Manager.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately complete cash, credit card and gift card transactions using point of sale system
- Upsell to guests by suggesting menu items to accompany beverage selections
- Prepare beverages consistent with quality and food safety standards
- Maintain sanitation of the preparation and service areas
- Stock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest use
- Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors and empty trash in the bar/dining area
- Check customer’s identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
- Mix all drinks based on the standard serving sizes, keeping drink costs at a minimum
- Transfer products between locations
- Receive and inventory shipments from vendors
- Assist with monthly inventory and ordering
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
- Collaborate with management on specials
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- 1+ year experience bartending
- TIPS training required
- State required certification
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, engaging personality, strong work ethic and professional appearance
- Strong organizational, motivational, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Work with minimal supervision
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures
- Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc.
