Role/ Department: Senior HR Technology Consultant, Workday HCM/HR Technology
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Technology Consultant to support and deliver HR technology initiatives with a strong emphasis on Workday HCM. In this role, you will partner with HR and business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize scalable HR system solutions that support the full employee lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone who brings a broad HR technology consulting background, enjoys working in a client-facing environment, and is passionate about enabling HR transformation through technology. What truly sets this opportunity apart is working on impactful, global HR transformation initiatives, exposure to a wide range of HR processes and technologies and working in a collaborative, consulting-oriented environment with room for growth.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Consult on HR Technology projects, supporting the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday HCM and related functionality.
• Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective system solutions.
• Support end-to-end project delivery activities including discovery, design workshops, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Advise on HR process design and system best practices across core HCM areas such as worker data, business processes, security, and reporting.
• Analyze system impacts and data dependencies to ensure integrated, sustainable solutions.
• Support change management, user adoption, and post-deployment stabilization efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (integration, reporting, data, and change) to deliver high-quality HR technology outcomes.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Experience consulting on HR Technology implementations or enhancements in a client-facing or advisory role.
• Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including configuration and business process framework.
• Exposure to additional Workday modules (e.g., Talent, Recruiting, Time, or Compensation) is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Salary Range:
$95,600 - 162,400 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
