Summary:
The Vice President of Primary Care - Administrative provides enterprise-level clinical, operational, integrated patient services, and financial leadership for primary care services across the Northern Light Health Provider Network. This role is accountable for overall systemwide performance that includes quality, access, growth, and financial sustainability of primary care practices. In dyad partnership with the Physician Executive of Primary Care, this leader ensures effective operational execution of care delivery models that support high-quality, patient-centered, and value-based primary care, aligned with system strategy and organizational priorities.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategy: Partner with Physician Executive of Primary Care and the Northern Light Health executive team in the development and execution of systemwide operational growth, access, workforce, recruitment and retention, quality, integrated patient services, and network development strategies aligned with Northern Light Health strategic and value-based care priorities and long-term market and service line strategies.
  • Clinical Operations: Operational functions of primary care practices across the Provider Network including standardizing and optimizing operations across the system access management, integrated patient services, scheduling strategy, panel optimization, staffing models, care team design, facilities coordination, and technology enablement; partnering with Physician Executive of Primary Care to establish operating standards and ensure alignment of clinical operational processes including quality initiatives.
  • Finance: Partner with Physician Executive of Primary Care and Northern Light Health Provider Network finance leadership to ensure financial stewardship for enterprise primary care services, including development and management of operating budgets, long-range financial forecasts, panel performance and productivity benchmarks, cost management strategies, total cost-of-care performance, and resource allocation.
  • Revenue Cycle: Revenue cycle performance in collaboration with finance and revenue cycle leadership, including documentation optimization, coding integrity, billing operations, front-end revenue cycle activities, and net professional revenue performance.
  • Performance Management: Performance management processes, including regular review of access, employee and patient experience, productivity, financial, quality-aligned operational metrics, and panel performance with regional and practice leadership to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Staff Workforce: Workforce planning for primary care to optimize staffing and ensure effective leadership, including recruitment and retention strategy and execution, engagement, professional and leadership development, and succession planning to support sustainable performance.
  • Dyad Partnership: Partnership with the Physician Executive of Primary Care in a dyad leadership model to ensures collaborative decision-making that integrates clinical excellence with operational and financial sustainability.
  • Other Duties: Regulatory and organizational compliance; contract/network initiatives; collaborate with IT teams to support digital and analytics alignment; and perform related executive leadership responsibilities as assigned.
