Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Maintain resident apartments, common areas, and exterior grounds.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, fire codes, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, generators).
  • Immediately address safety hazards and report concerns.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and response as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements

  • 1โ€“3 years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Experience in assisted living, healthcare, or senior housing.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards seniors.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move safely as required.
  • Understand and practice standard precautions at all times.
  • Must pass background check.
