Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking incumbent and external qualified candidates to support North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyene Mountain Complex (NCMC) - Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract III (NISSC III).
Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected mid to late 2026
Qualified candidates will help operate, maintain, and sustain critical national mission systems to deliver resilient strategic threat warning and space capabilities as part of a world-wide architecture, providing strategic warning that our nation depends on during a conflict. This program will provide an opportunity to exploit the capabilities inherent in our diverse national systems to better meet the needs of the national command authority and warfighters to detect, track, and respond to strategic threats through 2030 and beyond
The Systems Integration Engineer will support integration, modernization, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems supporting NORAD and USSPACECOM operations within the Cheyenne Mountain Complex environment. This role will support integration activities across hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and operational mission systems within complex operational and developmental environments supporting space, missile warning, command-and-control, and enterprise mission capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess experience integrating and troubleshooting complex systems within classified DoD environments while collaborating closely with systems engineering, software development, cybersecurity, and operations teams to improve mission readiness, system interoperability, operational reliability, and overall mission effectiveness.
Responsibilities
  • Support system integration activities across hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and operational mission environments
  • Support deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of integrated mission systems and enterprise capabilities
  • Coordinate integration activities between systems engineering, software development, cybersecurity, operations, and external stakeholders
  • Support verification and validation activities, integration testing, operational assessments, and readiness evaluations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system interoperability, configuration, performance, and operational issues across complex environments
  • Support implementation and maintenance of CI/CD and DevSecOps integration processes where applicable
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including integration procedures, architecture diagrams, interface documentation, and operational support materials
  • Participate in Agile development and integration activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical reviews, and release planning
  • Support configuration management, change management, and technical baseline activities
  • Support system modernization and technology refresh initiatives across mission systems
  • Assist with root cause analysis, incident response, and operational problem resolution efforts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system reliability, scalability, maintainability, and mission effectiveness

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required, ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI access required
  • Experience supporting systems integration activities within DoD, Intelligence Community, space, missile defense, or command-and-control environments
  • Experience integrating hardware, software, networking, and operational mission systems
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems within operational or classified environments
  • Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows operating environments
  • Familiarity with systems engineering, integration testing, and deployment processes
  • Experience supporting Agile development and/or DevSecOps environments
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, software development, and operations teams

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting NORAD, USSPACECOM, Space Force, missile warning, or space domain awareness missions
  • Experience supporting satellite ground systems, command-and-control systems, or enterprise mission systems
  • Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as VMware, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, system administration, and enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Experience supporting integration and test activities within classified operational environments
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, or related engineering and integration tools
  • Security+ or other DoD 8140/8570 compliant certification preferred

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
