We’re seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our marketing team. This administrative role sits at the intersection of inbound lead management and outbound prospecting, serving as a key driver of new business growth. This role engages and qualifies inbound opportunities, supports internal business development team members, and proactively generates meetings through targeted outreach including email, warm and cold calling, and LinkedIn prospecting.

This is a non-exempt and on-site position in our in our Gainesville, FL office.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in appointment setting through outbound email activity and social selling.
  • Proficient in CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales/business development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in HubSpot, Typeform, and outbound platforms such as Apollo, Clay, or Lemlist.
  • Prior experience in public accounting or another professional services organization.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound inquiries and qualify leads from calls, emails, and web submissions.
  • Schedule qualified prospect meetings with business development team members and appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Manage early-stage sales activities for industry teams without a dedicated business developer.
  • Track lead activity, stages, and next steps in HubSpot.
  • Execute outbound prospecting via email, phone (warm and cold calling), and LinkedIn to generate appointments.
  • Monitor outreach performance (opens, clicks, replies) and prioritize personal outreach to advance conversations
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for inbound and outbound activity, leads, and opportunities.
  • Track and reconcile leads routed to referral partners.
  • Support the business development team by coordinating meeting changes, maintaining pipeline hygiene, and updating contact information.
  • Occasional travel to represent the firm at conferences and events, build relationships with prospective clients and referral sources, connect opportunities with appropriate subject matter experts, and complete timely post-event follow-up to help book appointments.
  • Report weekly on outreach performance, lead status, and prospecting activity.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support growth and business development goals.
