Job Description:

The Senior Aviation Military Analyst provides subject matter expertise in Army Aviation attack and reconnaissance operations, Launched Effects (LE), aviation weapons systems, munitions employment, capability development, and modernization efforts. This position supports operational studies, capability assessments, technology evaluations, and requirements development activities focused on Army Aviation attack, reconnaissance, and air assault missions. The analyst identifies operational capability gaps, develops recommendations for future force modernization, leads Joint working groups and study teams, and produces high-quality analytical products, including white papers, concept papers, operational views, and requirements documents supporting Army and Joint stakeholders.


Job Requirements:

  • Rated Army Aviator with a minimum of 15 years of Army Aviation flight and combat operations experience.
  • Senior or Master Army Aviator Badge required.
  • Completion of military or civilian equivalent professional education and staff development courses comparable to CGSC/ILE or the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
  • Extensive technical experience in the employment and integration of Army Aviation Launched Effects (LE), weapons systems, munitions, and launchers, including Hydra 70 rockets and HELLFIRE missiles.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze the tactical operational employment of Army Aviation attack and reconnaissance capabilities and identify operational gaps requiring capability solutions.
  • Staff experience planning attack, reconnaissance, and air assault missions, including aviation weapons planning requirements within Army Aviation tactical organizations.
  • Prior tactical operational management experience leading organizations of 400 or more personnel.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting capability management, combat development, or capability development initiatives.
  • Experience planning, facilitating, and executing Joint Working Groups.
  • Experience leading aviation studies and/or operational test events focused on capability development and technology assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop and deliver graduate-level white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational views, and related analytical products with minimal Government revisions.
  • Ability to review and edit technical products to ensure quality, accuracy, and professional standards prior to Government submission.
  • Active SECRET security clearance required.
