Job description

Scope of Position:The Guest Room Attendant is able to work independently and without direct supervision. The Guest Room Attendant ensures the highest quality guest experience by cleaning and preparing the buildings of the WinShape Foundation including guest rooms, public areas, offices, and other locations on the mountain campus. 

Reports to:Team Leader, Housekeeping and Laundry

WinShape Foundation is a Biblically-based Christian non-profit organization that seeks to glorify God by creating transformational, Christ-centered experiences for people in every stage of life. We do this through five core ministries that each use scriptural truth to offer summer camp, foster care, team and leader development, college student discipleship, and marriage enrichment.   • Cleans guest rooms, performs stayovers, turnovers, and checkouts as assigned within standard guidelines for cleaning 
  • Cleans public areas and offices as assigned within standard guidelines for cleaning 
  • Reports work orders via Facilities work order system 
  • Performs quality cleaning to meet required standards within set time limits 
  • Inspects storage rooms and room attendant carts for neatness, cleanliness, adequate supplies, and good repair 
  • Inspects public areas and guest rooms and trains new housekeepers 
  • Performs seasonal deep cleaning of facilities as needed 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Leadership  

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • 0 to 3 years previous housekeeping experience 
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record 
  • Ability to stand, bend, stretch, climb stairs, and do much walking 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Self-discipline and attention to detail 
  • Basic understanding of computer skills and/or knowledge of a property management system or housekeeping system 
  • Commitment to being present at appropriate times to work - all shifts, all days 
  • Exhibit the following competencies: dependability, team player, job knowledge, initiative, problem solving
