Job description

Position Summary

The Research Investigator supports execution of Clinical Pharmacology activities, collaborating with departmental mentors to contribute to assigned projects. Applies pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics expertise and model-based analyses to inform drug development decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to compound development and design of clinical studies across therapeutic areas (with supervision)

  • Contribute to clinical development strategies of pipeline products (with supervision)

  • Develop proficiency in PK, PK/PD, and Model Informed Drug Development (MIDD) principles and analyses

  • Contribute to acquisition and interpretation of PK/PD data

  • Participate in interactions with health authorities

  • Contribute to modeling and simulation plans

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on drug development, regulatory submissions, and departmental initiatives


Qualifications & Experience

  • MS, PhD, or PharmD in a relevant field

  • Knowledge of current practices and issues in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to deliver scientific presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

  • Programming experience highly desired (NONMEM, R, WinNonlin; SAS, Splus, etc.)

  • Basic quantitative data analysis, POP PK/PD, and data visualization highly desired
