Job description

The Infection Control Coordinator independently performs a wide range of professional-level duties in support of the Infection Prevention (IP) program. This role applies knowledge of public health, healthcare epidemiology, and communicable diseases to ensure organization compliance with local, state, and federal public health reporting requirements, as well as accreditation and regulatory standards. The Coordinator exercises discretion and independent judgement in surveillance, analysis, identification of trends and escalation pathways as necessary. The Coordinator will participate in performance improvement activities related to IP.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

Prior clinical or public health experience preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience using computer software and database programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Well organized with special attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data in a confidential manner.
Willingness and ability to assist and support in daily departmental duties.

The hourly rate range for this position is $30.00 - $47.00.
