The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall condition, safety, and operational reliability of the hotel facility.

This role ensures:
- The building runs consistently and safely
- Guest-impacting issues are minimized and resolved quickly
- Preventative maintenance replaces reactive repair
- The Engineering team performs with clarity and accountability

Core Responsibilities
Building & Systems Leadership
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
Preventative Maintenance Execution
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Cover guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems
Safety, Fire & Compliance
- Lead Fire & Life Safety programs
- Maintain emergency and evacuation plans
Financial & Operational Control
- Manage budget, purchasing, and inventory
- Ensure cost control and compliance
Capital Projects & Renovation
- Lead renovation and CapEX projects
- Coordinate vendors and contractors
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Train and develop the engineering team
- Set clear expectations and performance standards

Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer experience preferred
