Job description

Drake Cooper is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Business Affairs Specialist to join our team at our Boise, Idaho headquarters.

As a Business Affairs Specialist, you'll help protect our clients, our creative work, and our agency by supporting the contracting, licensing, and compliance needs of integrated marketing and production projects. You'll partner closely with our Business Affairs Manager, Production, Creative, Account Management, Finance, and Legal to coordinate agreements, talent documentation, usage rights, and production compliance from project kickoff through final delivery.

You'll become a trusted resource for contract administration, rights management, production documentation, and process coordination, helping ensure projects move forward efficiently while minimizing risk.

What you'll do:
  • Support the preparation, review, and administration of production-related agreements, including talent, vendor, production company, photographer, music, influencer, and location agreements.
  • Coordinate licensing and usage rights for photography, music, video, stock assets, and other creative content.
  • Assist with SAG-AFTRA and Non-Union documentation, talent payments, session tracking, and production paperwork, as applicable.
  • Partner with Production teams to support estimates, scopes of work, vendor onboarding, and production planning.
  • Review contracts and statements of work for completeness and identify questions for the Business Affairs Manager.
  • Maintain organized contract files, rights documentation, and expiration tracking.
  • Coordinate certificates of insurance, production documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with legal requests, intellectual property documentation, and advertising compliance research.
  • Support continuous improvements to Business Affairs processes and workflows.
What you'll bring
  • 2-4 years of experience in business affairs, production, legal operations, contract administration, project coordination, or a related advertising, media, or entertainment environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial production, contracts, licensing, or intellectual property is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAG-AFTRA and Non-Union, music licensing, influencer agreements, or commercial production.
  • Basic knowledge on the Extreme Reach platform.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
