$10,000 hiring bonus!

Pay: $50-52 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., every other weekend

Responsibilities

As an Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll assume primary responsibility for assigned hospice patients and their families, delivering comprehensive, compassionate care aligned with each patient’s individualized plan of care.

Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled inpatient nursing care that maximizes comfort, symptom management, and quality of life
  • Complete thorough nursing assessments, including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors influencing patient and family needs
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate hospice plans of care in partnership with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team
  • Maintain frequent communication with attending physicians, team leadership, and other care partners to coordinate optimal care
  • Provide appropriate clinical and emotional support at the time of death
  • Coordinate and oversee direct patient care activities, including collaboration with hospice aides and other caregivers
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation, completed before the end of each shift
  • Participate in hospice team meetings, care conferences, orientation, and ongoing education
  • Share responsibility for 24/7 patient coverage, including on-call participation as assigned
  • Demonstrate compliance with hospice policies, professional nursing standards, and all state and federal regulations

Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least one year of nursing experience (hospice, inpatient, medical‑surgical, oncology, geriatrics, or related patient populations preferred)
  • Hospice or inpatient end‑of‑life care experience preferred
  • CPR certification

You may find success in this role if you’ve worked as a Hospice RN, Inpatient RN, Palliative Care Nurse, Med‑Surg RN, Oncology Nurse, Geriatric Nurse, or Patient Care Nurse in an inpatient or acute care setting.
