Job description

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Litigation Docket Clerk to support the management of state and federal court deadlines, filings, and case-related calendaring. Working closely with the Managing Clerk's Office, this role will maintain the firm's litigation calendar, interpret applicable court rules, monitor case activity, and help ensure attorneys and case teams remain informed of critical deadlines. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, knowledgeable about court procedures, and comfortable managing complex calendaring responsibilities in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities Maintain the firm's litigation calendar, including calculating deadlines, setting reminders, and updating attorney calendars Review court rules, statutes, and case activity to ensure accurate docketing and deadline management Monitor federal and state court matters, obtain filings, decisions, orders, and docket updates, and communicate developments to case teams Prepare and submit electronic and manual court filings using systems such as PACER and NYSCEF Respond to attorney and case team questions regarding deadlines, filing requirements, and procedural rules Prepare customized docket reports, deadline summaries, and other case-related tracking materials Coordinate court services, process servers, document retrieval, and outside vendors as needed Support docket audits, motion and appeal tracking, time entry, and other projects within the Managing Clerk's Office Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred 4-6 years of docketing, calendaring, managing clerk, or related law firm experience Experience with CourtAlert, CompuLaw, or similar calendaring systems Familiarity with PACER, NYSCEF, Bloomberg Law, CourtLink, and online court databases Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules, including CPLR and FRCP Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of a firm Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work overtime as business needs require Compensation & Schedule Salary: $72,000-$95,000 annually Full-time, non-exempt Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, including Tuesday and Wednesday, and 2 days remote Typical hours: 10:00 AM-6:00 PM New York, NY
