Opportunity for CRNAs to practice in a highly autonomous environment. Blended team model, with physician and CRNAs sharing call and personally providing anesthesia. Diverse case mix which affords the opportunity to utilize regional anesthesia skills.
Description
St. Francis Hospital is a Catholic not-for-profit health care facility. The hospital is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System sponsored by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. The Hospital Sisters established St. Francis Hospital in 1875 in Litchfield, Illinois, with the mission of meeting the needs of those living within the two-county area. St. Francis Hospital is a fully licensed and accredited, not-for-profit health care facility. Employing nearly 240 area residents, the hospital has a full range of medical services; surgery center; cancer care center; state-of-the-art imaging for diagnostic purposes; and physical, cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation. In addition, St. Francis is the only hospital in the two-county area providing maternity services. Case

Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
