Job description

Grief’s Light Outreach is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting mothers after the loss of a child. We are seeking a dependable Volunteer Board Treasurer to help provide financial oversight and accountability as our organization grows.

Responsibilities

  • Review income, expenses, and financial records
  • Provide financial updates at board meetings
  • Assist with the annual budget
  • Help ensure accurate financial records and nonprofit compliance
  • Provide financial guidance to the Founder and Board

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Experienced in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, banking, or a related field
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Committed to confidentiality and financial integrity
  • Supportive of GLO’s faith-based mission

Nonprofit financial experience and familiarity with North Carolina nonprofit practices are a plus.

Time Commitment: Approximately 2–4 hours per month, including quarterly virtual board meetings.

Compensation: Volunteer position.
